( only just finished getting dressed, the knock at the door manages to catch her off guard. but then, so has pretty much everything since showing up here. at least by now she's fairly confident that, strange as it all might be, this is real. not a dream or another hallucination brought on by blood loss or head injury.
it isn't like her to casually swing the door open for anyone who knocks but, with no peephole, it's either that or hide until they go away. she's had plenty of hiding just recently. )
