Here, quick! [ His voice has dropped to a harsh whisper. ] It's getting closer.

[ With some cover to hide himself, he pulls the static film back around his hands. He found one friendly person. What are the odds of finding another?

Then something small, dark, and many-legged skitters it's way out of the trees.

Well, small. Small is relative. Compared to the kind he's used to seeing, it's massive. ]
