Nodding - not because he understands but because he's listening - Tyler can't really imagine being romantic. It makes him feel a little embarrassed when he thinks about it. Vulnerable in ways that feel too uncomfortable for him to dwell on too long.

And so he hustles his thoughts onwards and leans back into his seat, away from his abandoned meal on the table top.

"That's probably for the best. Pining sounds awful. I'd rather be forced to listen to yodeling or something."
