For what it's worth, he considers the question, at least the length of a drag, the inhale, the exhale, but, "One way or another," is what Iggy gets. Nick isn't trying to be evasive, it's just too broad a question.

"I try not to," actually. He's aware of Iggy's eyes on him, and normally he wouldn't mind, as long as he's still itinerant and has the option to leave after being perceived. That's a good way of describing his adult life, in fact, a series of intimacies made and abandoned.

Doesn't seem like that's going to be an option here though. He's trying not to think about it too hard, but he does have to be careful.
