"Oh, I should add peaches," Joan says. She gets the tea out-- it's in large glass jugs, lemon slices floating in water. Joan has no idea that the tea shop she gets ingredients from spices things with aphrodisiacs. She has no idea that most of the food she's been getting is half potion.
She pours them both a glass.
"Look," she says, sipping a bit of the gloriously cool liquid. The house has large windows, turning parts of it into a muggy and plantless greenhouse in high June. "I can tell you the whole story, if you don't wanna share yours. I'm not sure this shit'll make any sense, otherwise."
