CHARACTER CONSIDERATIONS:

Character Name: The Fool
Canon: The Realm of the Elderlings novels by Robin Hobb, though I am specifically playing the Fool from just before the denouement of Fool's Fate.
Brief Bio: 'the Fool' began as a cruel moniker that, at his current canon point, is nevertheless the name he prefers to the one he was born with. he grew up in the strange and remote country of Clerres located far to the south of the Six Duchies (where the principle action in the novels takes place). there, he was quickly identified has having the strange lineage of the White Prophets--named as such because of their white skin and hair, and their gift of foresight and prophesy. despite being told by his elders that there was already a White Prophet of their age and that his visions could never impact the course of history on such a grant scale, the Fool risks everything to journey north to the Six Duchies to find his Catalyst, the person fated to help him save the world by pushing it back onto the correct course. and he finds him, in the form of royal bastard FitzChivalry Farseer, and together they endure hell and hardship and are extremely normal about each other. 👌
Curse/Monster Ideas: I'm a bit on the fence about it. I was toying with the idea of leaning into the Fool being part of the pack with Fitz and Nighteyes by giving him a wolf-ish form, but the details of the Niez curse mark more closely align with his role in the novels. I'm just struggling to come up with a monster form that hits those same notes, so any input would be welcome!

CHARACTER CONSIDERATIONS:

Character Name: Kaiisteron the Prince of the Fourth House
Canon: Witch King
Brief Bio: Kai is from a world where magic is very known but unique to different peoples and still not fully understood. He's from the 'hell' of this world, also called the underearth, and could only come to the mortal plane in the body of someone recently deceased. His people (also called demons) had a mutually beneficial pact with human nomads to supply these bodies (through natural means) in exchange for mortal/demon children that would be witches. However, humans from another land invaded the continent, wiped out most (possibly all) of his people, and left Kai and his found-family to rebel and take the lands back. It's 60+ years post-rebellion, and Kai is at the heart of yet another conspiracy as an unwilling pawn with his family in danger.
Curse/Monster Ideas: I'm thinking Niez for his curse. I'm toying with a customize cloud-like monster. Taking away his physical form to replace it with a sickening cloud that can cause mess with the heads of others or outright choke them on it's essence.

Character Name: Nadir
Canon: OC
Brief Bio: He hails from an alternate universe where basically all myths and legends from Earth live and thrive, and he, his sister and best friend have been world-trotting heroes for years. He's a kitsune that was raised outside the kitsune society, which is good, since they seem to have sinister machinations in ploy, but he himself is friendly, good-natured, way too in touch with his emotions and too honest, and a bit of a himbo. Here's more about him, if interested.

He'll be a CRAU from Noct, but he's only bringing memories from his short time there.
Curse/Monster Ideas: Wilk fits his personality best, and I'm thinking he'll just become a bigger, little more feral kitsune.

Character Name: takakage kurosaki
Canon: handead anthem
Brief Bio: tkkg is a serious and practical man who was worked to the point of extreme stress and despair from that stress. when he was about to end his life, he heard the singing of one ko tenjin, and this brought him pause. ko further brought him salvation and apotheosis. to say takakage loves and worships ko-sama is an understatement. he also sings and dances in his EDM group deva and likes mystery novels, death metal, and crossword puzzles
Curse/Monster Ideas: i want him to look like some biblically accurate freak of nature that looks like something out of fear and hunger. i really like cosmic horror so i have a few ideas but i wanna nail some down b4 i propose what i settle on! one thing i'm going with is that he seeks the company of others and not just ko ... and he'll do anything to keep those he ensnares

Brief Bio: a cult leader from birth because of his gorgeous eyes. he's been emotionless from even before he was turned into a demon and has never once felt happiness or sadness or love in their true forms. he's extremely fake and violent and likes to coat his violence and bloodlust with cheer.
Curse/Monster Ideas: he could fit 3/4 of them but i think im going with diabel! but he's already a demon! i'm at a loss w him :(

Character Name: Dirk "Bro" Strider
Canon: Homestuck
Brief Bio: Once upon a time, a feral child grew up with a puppet as his best friend. Turns out the puppet was evil and possessed him into fulfilling a "destiny" that he had no say in, and also made him do some pretty heinous shit he wouldn't normally have done. Then he died before he could have an actual redemption arc or anything.

Long story short, the guy's got his own brain for basically the first time in his life because the evil puppet isn't around. He's still a huge asshole, but, you know, a more palatable one. He's also still extremely intent on "training" and being strong enough to weather whatever comes his way; it's just that he's his own person while doing it now instead of, well, a puppet.

As an aside, he'll be coming in as a Noct CRAU, with all the memories from his stay there.
Curse/Monster Ideas: Wilk works really well for him, I think, and I'm leaning werewolf or minotaur for him; he was a minotaur in Noct so it'd be interesting for me to keep him with the same kind of curse.

Character Name: sam carpenter
Canon: scream
Brief Bio: sam is the illegitimate daughter of serial killer billy loomis. after finding out the truth of a teenager sam spiralled into drugs, alcohol and getting into trouble with the police. the first chance she got sam ran away from everything until years later her sister is attacked and she's forced to deal with her parentage. she is desperate to prove that she is nothing like her father (and grandmother). sam struggles with mental illness and while it's never explicit, it's heavily implied she has bipolar disorder as she has violent urges and hallucinates her dead father.
Curse/Monster Ideas: i am leaning towards wilk as sam is already very aggressive and overprotective of people to the point of obsession. she does sometimes also seem feral in her aggressiveness which i think would fit with werewolves - but it might also fit with diabel but idk how ~charming~ sam is as she is hated by a lot of people in her canon.

Brief Bio: Part-time zombie, full-time medical examiner and badass for the SCPD. He is a bonafide genius helping take on the impending "zombie apocalypse," that threatens Seattle.
Curse/Monster Ideas: He's already got his monthlies that make him essentially more prone to his zombification. Going with Wilk or Niez though in terms of the game, and have yet to totally figure out a transformation but leaning more toward kraken or chimera.


Character Name: Johnny Silverhand
Canon: Cyberpunk 2077
Brief Bio: famous influential rockerboy turned terrorist for progress. eventual engram after the corpos used soulkiller on him.
Curse/Monster Ideas: Diabel all the way and just for kicks maybe an oni type personification of the whole "demon," vibe.


Character Name: Harley Quinn
Canon: DCEU
Brief Bio: former clown queen of gotham, recurring member of the suicide squad, absolute badass anti-hero with a devil may care attitude.
